R Kelly Performs
At Reggae Sumfest 2012
Chicago’s very own R Kelly graced the Reggae Sumfest 2012
stage with an outstanding performance in the early hours of July 22nd. R Kelly,
who was supposed to perform last year at Reggae Sumfest 2011 but could not make
it due to medical conditions promised to make it this year. His long awaited
performance came one and a half hours passed his scheduled performance time. He
performed a long list of platinum hits for his fans before rushing back to the
airport for a return flight to the states. Sumfest promoters told me that Kelly
was a difficult artist to deal with. R Kelly, who looked to have gained some weight,
has had some problems with the IRS. Hopefully his new record and his tour will
help to resolve these problems that the singer has been facing.
